Ladies Night Out!
The Good: The anticipation of seeing 4 sangin’, handsome men on stage performing for a 90% female audience… definitely called for a Ladies Night out!
The Bad: The show started about 45min LATE! Also, the breaks in between each act were taking longer than it should have to switch over, even when the first 2 artists were singing to track!
The Ugly: The later we waited to start, the crowd were getting restless, people were getting loud with profanity, even the hosts of the show. Seemed to not have much organization putting this together.
The Best: Headliner Keith Sweat and Joe had the best performances of the night!
Honorable Mentions: While he did great, Jon B was on first so his set was super short. Would have liked to have heard him much longer. Lyfe Jennings was pretty good overall. Bobby Brown….oh my goodness!! He was a mess and not necessarily in the worst way. He seemed to be having more fun than focusing on the execution of his performance. He sounded good though and had us laughing…was that on purpose? We don’t know but generally, we still enjoyed him. It was great hearing him do his solo work, even though his moves were not all there. LOL
Surprises: Keith Sweat led Bobby into singing the Johnny Kemp hit “Just Got Paid” with him. Joe sang Michael Jackson‘s “Rock With You”
Overall the show was really good! Everyone sang their popular hits and we all had a great time, even thru the delays and technical issues of the night. This lineup would make a great multi-city tour, but obviously with better organizers.
