Summary
Due to travel time and distance, and basically not realizing til the day before that the event started EARLY in the afternoon, I missed out seeing the opening artists on the bill, Chris Crain and Raul Midón. I made it just in time to see headliner Norman Brown tho!
Funny, but I was so concerned about arriving late, having to wait to get in while the show was happening. I was told at the box office, there would be no issue. Well…I walk in the theater and I see why! I would guess about 40-50max in the audience! Although I sat in my assigned seat for the most part, honestly I could have had my choice among the 2250 seats that were left. 😂
When I tell you that Norman Brown and his band: Gail Jhonson, Travis Milner, Robert McDonald and LJ Holifield played like it was a FULL HOUSE..I mean just THAT! In fact, they were even better (if that’s possible) than when I had just seen them in my city a month prior! Maybe because they were the main attraction this time around? Being the professionals and fun loving crew they are, it matters not the audience size. They turned the house upside down/inside out from the first guitar strum and it was ON!
Note: The low attendance for this date is no reflection of the artists, of course. Being it was the 1st annual for this event, on a Sunday, and super early (started at 12:30p) were probable factors. I believe a later time in the evening would have made the turnout better. It will be interesting to see if anything changes for next year 🙂
