I Didn’t Know Josh Johnson… Now I’m a Whole Fan!
Okay, so let me set the stage for you…
You ever agree to go see someone you’ve never even heard of because your concert bestie said, “Girl. Trust me.” Now usually that’s how I end up in some musical heaven or laughing until my stomach hurts—and this time? It was the latter with a surprise punch of the unexpected.
Enter: Josh Johnson, comedian, storyteller, low-key firecracker with a vibe so calm you’d think he’s just chatting with you over coffee… until you realize you’re doubled over in your seat from laughing so hard. And y’all—I didn’t know a THING about this man going in! I was completely blind to what I was about to witness. But wow. Just wow.
Let Me Roll It Back for a Sec…
We arrive at the venue and immediately I’m like—wait, what’s happening here? Because there are these young ladies handing out flowers at the door. At first I’m thinking, “Aww, how sweet,” but then I’m side-eying wondering if they were selling them or gifting them. Either way, it was a cute twist and totally on-brand for “The Flower Tour.” 🌸
From that extra touch alone, I sensed this would not be your average comedy show.
The Warm-Up Was Just as Juicy
Before Josh even touched the mic, we were blessed with two comedians:
🎤 Mandal – Who had the kind of delivery that makes you feel like you’re about to hear your favorite cousin’s wildest stories.
🎤 Logan Nielsen – Came in swinging with sharp wit and funny bones for days.
Both were straight-up hilarious and created this perfect vibe of “We’re all here to have a good time tonight, period!”
Then Came the TWIST
Now you’d think after those two, the man of the hour would hit the stage, right?
Wrong.
Suddenly, the stage clears. Lights shift. And then—BAM! Michael Jackson starts playing (don’t ask me which song because I completely blacked out from the hype 😆). I’m sitting there like, wait a minute, WHAT is happening??
A group of fierce ladies hit the stage giving us full-on choreography, vibes, and FLOWER POWER performance to a crunk playlist realness! Like… come on now! Who expects that at a comedy show?? But baby, it worked. The crowd was eating it up!
And Then… JOSH.
Josh Johnson steps out—and from the jump, you feel it. He’s calm, composed, but once he opens that mouth? Chile… buckle up. His humor isn’t about punchlines back to back like a machine gun. Nah—he talks to you. And before you know it, he’s taken you down a twisty rabbit hole of relatable, real-world hilarity.
Like one minute you’re nodding like “yup, I do that too,” and the next minute you’re crying laughing because you didn’t see the comedic landmine he just walked you into. It was conversational humor at its finest—clever, current, and lowkey genius.
Final Take?
The entire 90-minute experience was top-tier comedic entertainment. There was no fluff, no dragging moments, no awkward “okay, get on with it” vibe. Just a perfectly curated journey from start to finish.
Would I see him again? YES, that simple! The tour package was creative, the energy was balanced, and the laughs were genuine. The night was pure gold!
