500 Apollo Drive | Wapakoneta, OH

Saying Yes to Curiosity
On my way from Detroit, I made an unplanned stop in Wapakoneta, Ohio – not because I’m fascinated by space, but because I enjoy exploring places that tell a story. That curiosity led me to the Armstrong Air & Space Museum, located just off I-75.

A Brief History

The museum does a great job of balancing history with accessibility. Highlights include:

It’s thoughtfully designed and doesn’t require prior knowledge to enjoy.
Why It Was Worth the Stop
I didn’t leave with technical knowledge or newfound obsession – but I did leave glad I took the detour. This stop reminded me that you don’t have to be an expert to appreciate history – you just have to be open to the experience.
