Wonderful Musical Journey!
This was my first time attending a Mariah Carey concert and was not disappointed in the least! Truth be told, me and Mariah go back like babies with pacifiers…ok, well at least since her debut album “Vision Of Love” 😉 Although I’ve missed buying a few albums along the way…this show makes me want to collect them all! She performed songs from every era of her career. It was such a treat to go back in time as well as hear her current music!
There was no opening performing act but DJ Suss One got the crowd more than ready as we waited!
Mariah sounded amazing and looked absolutely stunning! Five wardrobe changes without the show lagging at all. She’s still hitting all 5 octaves and possibly added a couple of more 🙂 The venue wasn’t a complete sell out but you couldn’t tell among the audience! The SCREAMS were loud enough to hear across state lines! LOL We were ALL in on every note and Mariah was loving all her “lambs” interacting with the music and cheering her thru it all.
Funny moment: when her Glam Squad came onstage to touch up her makeup/hair. Mariah stated that’s what they would be doing backstage anyway! LOL
Highlights: “Dem Kids” Roc & Roe who came out on stage at the end of Mariah singing “Always Be My Baby”. They are so adorable! 🙂 I knew that singer Trey Lorenz recorded/performed background for Mariah years ago, so it was really cool seeing him rockin with her again on stage!
Mariah isn’t a “performer” per se, and doesn’t have to be because her vocals takes center stage. Overall the show was a great first experience for me and I’d love to catch her again someday.
