Anticipated Performance!

On September 16, 2023, my dream came true as I saw “MJ The Musical” for the first time at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati, OH. Being a lifelong Michael Jackson fan, this experience was profoundly emotional and unforgettable.

As soon as I entered the Aronoff Center, the buzz of anticipation was a whole vibe. For a die-hard MJ fan like myself, it was more than just a show—it was a connection to an icon I’ve admired all my life. The thought of seeing his life and artistry brought to the stage filled me with excitement and nostalgia. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew it would be great!

All the actors portraying Michael Jackson, from childhood to adulthood were amazing!  They were so impressive in how they brought Michael to life throughout the years, bringing depth and authenticity to their roles.

What sets “MJ The Musical” apart is its unique storytelling. Rather than your usual chronological order of events, the show offers glimpses into Michael’s world through varying stages in his life as he prepares for the 1992 “Dangerous World Tour”.  The musical focuses on his relentless perfectionism and the immense pressure he faced, more so on himself. Flashbacks to moments in his life helped you to see how he worked and why he worked so hard to be the icon we know.  The tour preparations and powerful flashbacks kept me enthralled throughout the show. The chosen music fit perfectly with the narrative of his life story.

Seeing “MJ The Musical” for the first time was a deeply moving experience for me. It was a beautiful tribute to Michael Jackson’s genius. I laughed, cried, and danced in my seat, overwhelmed by waves of nostalgia and admiration. The energy from the audience and the stellar performances on stage made it a night to remember.

I am eagerly looking forward to seeing “MJ The Musical” again in the future. For any true King of Pop fan, this show should be on your list to see! It’s a heartfelt celebration of Michael Jackson’s legacy. RIP King…you are not forgotten!
