A Night of Emotion and Energy!
The George Michael Reborn Tribute Concert, starring Robert Bartko, took us on a nostalgic journey through the iconic hits of Wham! and George Michael.
This was my very first experience witnessing this amazing tribute to a man whom I had the biggest crush on as a late teen 😊 The star of the show…Robert Bartko, from what I read before arriving is a seasoned performer with remarkable vocal talents and captivating stage presence. I wasn’t sure but I took the chance to go, I mean…this is a huge task to pay such homage, so he had best bring it! One thing for sure we were all there for one reason…to gather and honor the legendary George Michael!
From the moment that first beat dropped, I knew I was in for a fun night! The concert kicked off with the infectious groove of one of my favorites, “Everything She Wants.”! I literally jam to this song at least once a month! Having no expectations, the rhythm had me instantly hooked on this show, and I couldn’t help but take it all in. Robert Bartko’s electrifying entrance had the audience hyped and ready for a night of unforgettable Rock, Pop, and Soul music!
Another highlight for me was “Careless Whisper”…(insert swoon) When the instrumental intro filled the air, there was audible excitement and my heart skipped a beat. Robert Bartko’s rendition of this timeless ballad evoked waves of emotion that swept through the crowd as we all sang along…at his encouragement. His delivery was soulful, heartfelt and took me back… lost in memories.
Other hits performed were “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” “Freedom” “Father Figure” “I’m Your Man” “Faith” and many more!
I must say, Robert Bartko certainly breathed new life into songs I never thought I’d ever hear LIVE! Did I mention he really sings….LIVE…not memorex?😁 He was engaging with us, and let us enjoy every moment! The spirit of George Michael lived on throughout the night. Because I never got to see him in concert, this was definitely a treat I’m happy I took a chance on, and will most defintiely do so again!
