Can U Feel It?!
Although I have been a Jackson fan ALL my life, I never got to see them in concert…EVER! They don’t perform in the States often, so when this came up, I HAD to jump on it and make plans to see Jackie, Tito, Jermaine & Marlon!
Just before start of show, we were told Jermaine was ill and would not be performing!! 🙁 Maaaaan it was so disappointing hearing that! I didn’t know what to expect from the “Jackson 3” especially not having Michael, and now no Jermaine?
Surprise! Jackie, Tito & Marlon really held it down on stage! The band was tight, background singers doing their thing, the visuals were awesome and the choreography was on point! They really made it a FUN experience!
The audience were having a great time…well…all but the 2 (younger) people to my right and 2 (older) people to my left who sat STILL the entire show! I don’t know where they ‘thought’ they were? However the rest of us? Singing and dancing to every tune!
One of my favorite moments was the video segment with “2300 Jackson Street” (gives me goosebumps every listen) playing as the Jackson matriarch Mama Katherine, was speaking about the kids growing up. Also, the brothers reflecting, talking old times, all in the setting of THE Jackson home. It was bittersweet seeing that bit of history on where they grew up, and it’s good to know they always remember home.
Call me greedy, but while they performed many of their top hits and medleys, the set was too short. It was approximately 80min, but I would have loved a 2 hour performance easily, then intermission, plus another 45min! LOL I know…I guess being my first time I wanted it ALL! Most importantly I wished I could have seen Michael with them. I’m sure he was in spirit tho! Was I still pleased with the show? YES! Would I see them again? YES! Now to keep my fingers crossed they come this way again…perhaps in their hometown with Jermaine being there too! 🙂
They also hinted having new music coming! hmmm…really now 😀
