If you’re in or going to Gary IN and looking for great live music, with a chance to showcase your singing/spoken word chops, sit in with the band, or simply watch it all in action… Every Thursday night at Backstage on Broadway nightclub/venue Keith Jackson hosts Jam Nite along with his band Triple Dose from 9:30p – 12:30a. Cover charge is just $3!
Don’t think that just because for most it’s a work night, that the attendance will be slim to none. This particular night I attended, it was the perfect crowd, not too many, not to little. Great night and atmosphere to kick back and enjoy the main talent Keith Jackson & Triple Dose Band and to check out who will take the stage with them throughout the night.
Music from R&B, Reggae, Neo-Soul, Old School, Pop, Funk and even a bit of Rap/Hip-Hop were performed by guest vocalists who were overall amazing talents!
It wasn’t my first time seeing them in action, but my first time at their Jam Nite. Next time I’m in the area again on a Thursday I will definitely go back!
Keith Jackson’s band covers many popular songs from various genres of music adding a bit of their own flavor to the sound. The band is tight, professional, versatile and they love to have fun when performing and interacting with their audience. They are well known around the region and they stay booked & busy! Great band for any event!
In case you’re wondering by now about his last name being “Jackson” in addition to being in Gary, IN… he is in fact a member of THE Jackson family 🙂
