My, My, My, Johnny Gill SOLD OUT Cincinnati!

High Energy Show!

Johnny gave his all from start to finish! Concert lasted about 1hr, 10min and he never took a break. He was very engaging and interactive with his audience as he took us on his musical journey from his solo thru group career. I can’t choose a single highlight of the evening, however the moment Johnny got off the stage and went through the audience, the ladies went wild! I surely didn’t expect it! I’m not even mad that I wasn’t in the ‘right aisle’ for him to walk by and hope to reach out to. LOL The sweet touches were the roses and teddy bears given to the lucky few up front! The surprise homage thru song he gave to Maze feat. Frankie Beverly and Bruno Mars were very well received!

Johnny’s broad music catalog was showcased and as he stated in the beginning, “I’m going to sing every song I know”. I do believe he tried to do just that which was a good thing…in a way. On the other hand, there were at least two of his hit songs I wished he had performed in FULL and not felt rushed through. I’m sure timing was a factor and as professional as Johnny is, he’s known for wanting to give the best show possible. How could we be mad at that? His showmanship was all that and consistent with prior performances I’ve attended. I expected an amazing show and he gave us one!
