Good 1st Impression!
My first visit to the casino so this review is only for the “Event Center” where I attended the Johnny Gill concert.
The Casino itself was easy to get to. Parking options were self-park and valet. We chose valet. The cost (as of this date) is $15 however, if you have a “ClubJACK” card it’s FREE! Who doesn’t love free when possible? WE DO, and thankfully a friend was with me who has one!
Upon entering the casino, the staff were very nice in directing us to the Event Center upstairs. Conveniently there was a cash bar but for food we had to go back downstairs to the main gaming area. In making that decision we were initially concerned there would be no re-entry. Whew…our concerns were not necessary! We WOULD be allowed back in by showing our ticket AND we were allowed to bring our food inside.
We went to “Basil Leaf Pizza” in the gaming area. It appeared a bit pricey (almost $10) but the sandwich was plentiful and included chips. By this time we had just a few minutes to get to our seats for the show.
The room was very nicely laid out! The most impressive to me was how clear the seating was labeled. The ushers were available to assist as well throughout the evening.
The stage was large enough and accommodated the band, artist, even dancers. The sound was consistently good. The seating was all one level. Naturally depending on the event, if the audience stands, many views will be blocked. The “JumboTron” was in place though to compensate, so no worries there and from my perspective, no complaints. Everyone had a great time. Retrieving our vehicle was easy and quick by scanning the valet ticket.
Overall, considering it’s the first visit, I was pretty impressed! I’d attend another event there in the future. The only addition I’d wish for are snacks/chips/candy at the cash bar.
