Non-Stop Party!

This was my 2nd time seeing RBRM, the newest branch of New Edition! You can read my first review here: RBRM in Detroit MI

I got to meet the fellas prior to this show, which was a surreal experience in itself! I have loved these guys since DAY ONE! They were really, super cool! Only wish we had more time than to say ‘hello’, but still I wouldn’t trade the moment for anything that night! Due to the number of fans meeting them, the show got off to a late start. Normally that would cost a cool point, but DJ Shakim saved the night keeping us entertained and dancing/singing until showtime!

When I saw them before, it was just their 2nd performance as RBRM. By this time, they’ve had plenty under their belts and the evolution showed! I thought last time was great, but they were not playin…they BROUGHT the HEAT hard this time! AMAZING show from start to finish! We were on our feet through it all and wanted MORE!! There were no lull moments at any point. No Opening act…because they don’t need one! They all looked great, were very engaging, sounded wonderful, and you can tell they truly are BROTHERS! The moment when Ricky Bell gave Bobby Brown his props and expressed unconditional love thru everything they’ve all gone through…priceless.

The guys had a great time playing off each other and catching the audience’s vibe as well. The band was smokin’, and the dancers were full of high energy! All in all equaled nothing but love, fun, and admiration of this iconic, legendary group. Over 30 years and still bringing it to us no matter which entity they are, from New Edition to RBRM and every other in between…they haven’t lost it! They’ve gained more generations of fans along the way and that’s a beautiful thing to see! I met fans as young as 13 and oldest was in her late 60s! EVERYONE left talking about how great they were and sad it was over! I know I am looking forward to seeing them again! For those who ‘thought’ RBRM was just a fluke…an “in the meantime until all six come together” kinda thing…rest assured, they are HERE and will STAY HERE and do what they do best…ENTERTAIN! This show was DOPE!!
