Summary
The Sound Board is a very cool, intimate venue located inside the MotorCity Casino Hotel! Although I didn’t get to explore the full area, I did notice there are two levels, bars all around to get a drink. The decor is modern, colorful, inviting.
Visited for the first time to see Whoopi Goldberg. The seating on the floor, in the rear (where we were), were tight! I read from others the seating on the 2nd level is more roomy (maybe my next opportunity, I will check that out). This being my first visit, I’m not sure if it was the type of show, but the sound was not very clear/loud enough for us in the rear rows. We could barely hear Whoopi at times.
When buying tickets, be aware there are some seating with obstructed views.
Overall, a great spot for a show, easily accessible from the hotel and outside.
