Concerts to Courtside...a whole vibe!
Guess what! I attended my very first NBA game at Fiserv Forum, watching the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Los Angeles Clippers, and let me tell you, this wasn’t something I ever had on my radar. I’m not a sports kind of gal at all… give me a concert, a stage, and some live music and I’m good. But when I was offered a staycation at Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel along with two free tickets to the game, I knew I had to say yes, and I’m so glad I did.
Walking into the arena, I immediately felt something familiar: the energy. And that’s what pulled me in. It honestly felt like a concert in a different form, with the lights, music, crowd reactions, and constant hype creating that same electric atmosphere I’m used to… just with basketball instead of microphones. And since the tickets were basically sponsored for the day, I had no problem claiming my temporary title as a Bucks fan and cheering right along with the crowd.
One of the best parts? The convenience. The arena was within walking distance from the hotel, which meant no traffic, no outrageous parking fees, just a smooth stroll straight into the action. Now THAT, I appreciated.
As for the game itself, it was actually really fun to watch. The score stayed close enough to keep the momentum going, so I stayed engaged the entire time. Even though the Bucks didn’t pull out the win, losing to the Clippers 127–113, the energy in that building never dropped.
And let’s talk about the Milwaukee Bucks popcorn bowl I could not resist buying, just because. Yes, it cost a grip ($37 with free popcorn refills…yikes! 😲)… but at that point, it wasn’t just popcorn—it was a souvenir. A memory tied to my first NBA experience, and you already know I’m about to be using that bowl at home like I’m still sitting in the arena.
Overall, I walked away genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. While sports may not be my usual lane, the vibe, the energy, and the overall experience made it all worthwhile. Will I suddenly become a die-hard fan? Let’s not get carried away. 😂 But would I go again? Absolutely.
