Waffle House | Charlotte NC

Yummm!

Okay so I had not been to Waffle House in YEARS so I was ready to order what I did in the past. Pecan Waffle, bacon…yea I know…kinda predictably boring considering all they have on the menu, right? This time I decided to go beyond my norm. Picture this: late, late night, after an amazing concert, had not eaten in HOURS…who is open after midnight that serve hot food, reasonably priced? WAFFLE HOUSE is the joint!

My concert buddies and I arrived to a packed house!! I think everyone went there after the Janet Jackson concert! We almost gave up going in, but we were starving! It wasn’t long until we found a place to sit. Our waitress took a short while getting to us, but she apologized for our wait and gave us terrific service from that point on! Customers were steady coming in, but what I can say about Waffle House as a whole…they keep it moving and seemingly with ease!

My choice meal was the Cheesesteak Hashbrown Bowl. OMG…it was soooo good! “large scattered hashbrowns, covered in melted cheese, with cheesesteak and grilled onions” It was good without anything added, but my concert friend used a lil bit of worcestershire sauce on his, so I gave it a shot and loved it! The flavors really enhanced each other! The bowl was very filling that as hungry as (I thought) I was…I had to take most with me. I don’t know if I will be in this area again, but when I do stop by another Waffle House, this dish may just be my new go-to!
