Valentine’s Day 2024 was a little different for me this year. No fancy dinner, no romantic gestures—just a soulful British crooner, a cozy little venue, and a meet & greet that turned out to be the most intimate and effortless experience ever. That’s right, I spent my Valentine’s evening with none other than Daley, and let me tell you, he was the closest thing I had to a Valentine that night—and I wasn’t mad about it!
The meet & greet was unlike any I’d ever attended. Picture this: only four of us fans in total. That’s right—just a tiny group of Daley devotees, which made the experience feel less like an artist-fan interaction and more like catching up with an old friend over coffee. Instead of the usual quick “hi-bye” photo op, Daley welcomed us into a sit-down Q&A, where the conversation flowed effortlessly. There were no awkward moments, no rushed exchanges—just a genuine and open dialogue with a man whose voice could melt butter.
He answered our questions with so much warmth and honesty, making us feel completely at ease. And when it was time for photos? Oh, he was the real MVP—taking individual shots, retakes (because, lighting!), and even a fun group pic. He had the patience of a saint and the vibe of someone who truly appreciates his fans.
Fast forward to after the show—Daley was posted up, signing vinyls and taking even more photos. I had already secured my meet & greet shots, so I didn’t need another pic, but I did want my vinyl signed. And because I couldn’t resist a little Valentine’s Day fun, I asked him to sign it to me to commemorate the day and he wrote:
“To My Valentine Kecia… Lots of Love, Daley.”
I mean, how perfectly kind was that?! He totally humored me, and for one night, I had the most soulful, smooth-voiced Valentine a girl could ask for.
Daley, if you ever see this—thank you for making February 14, 2024, one for the books. Your kindness, openness, and that ridiculous vocal talent made for the best, most effortless meet & greet ever. Until next time… 💙
