Summary
Baltimore native, guitarist Kevin Jackson came to slay and PLAY on his first-ever Facebook LIVE concert! His setup gave us that intimate, up close and personal, pour a glass of wine and chill vibe. With a smooth intro (No One Like U) that pulled you all the way in to be ready for what was to come…Kevin appeared on the scene, dressed for the occasion and gave us more than what we probably anticipated!
Select songs from his three albums: Stories In Color, The Mirrored Truth and Full Circle were played, some by request, but all were fan favorites no doubt! When he opened with one of MY top favorites “Let’s Go” my full attention was given from the beginning til the end! I loved how he had the title of each track on the screen for easy reference and recognition. I don’t know about anyone else, especially when it comes to jazz, but a lot of times I know the music, but not the title, so thank you, Kevin, for that extra detail 😊
Other selections included: “Te Amo”, “Lexington Market Funk”, “Foolish Hearts Lament”, “Amor De Mi Vida”, “So Deep” (which he dedicated to the couples watching), “Favorite Way”, “Summer Nights”, “Stronger”
Kevin played for about 75 min and no one wanted him to stop. He was very entertaining, engaging and shared some of his music background with us. I admit when the show was over…I stayed around listening to the outro music (Red Velvet Cake), kinda hoping for an encore LOL
